How do I pay the deposit with PayPal ?

Paying the deposit is easy. All you have to do is follow this quickguide. You won't even need a Paypal account to finish the payment.

Does Koh Lipe have a pier, and is there any hidden costs involved when traveling to Koh Lipe ?

Koh Lipe has no pier, the speedboats and ferries will dock next to a platform from where you need to take a longtail boat to the beach which will cost you 50 Baht. This change and extra payment can seem very annoying to some people but it serve different purposes to the Island.

Two of the main purposes are to save the coral around the beaches, and the other is to support the Local people (The Chao Lay), who runs the longtail boats.

Is there an ATM on Koh Lipe ?

There is no ATM on Koh Lipe. Therefore we strongly recommend that you bring enough cash to last you through your stay on Koh Lipe. Some resorts have a withdraw service but charge between 5 – 8% in commission for the service. The Reef do not offer this service or any other withdraw options.

The nearest ATM's is found in Pak Barra Jetty or Langkawi Jetty.

Is there a hospital on Koh Lipe ?

There is no hospital on Koh Lipe but a small clinic located on the east-side of the island, near Sunrise beach and the school. The clinic is called Topoe and takes care of most common injuries as cuts, bruises and infections. If any major injuries occure and you need to get to a hospital on the mail land fast, there is a helicopter landing site next to the clinic.

Where do I find the Immigration Office ?

The Immigration office is on Pattaya Beach in the very end of the island, near the military station and Bundhaya resort. Travelers from Langkawi will be taken to the Immigration Office when arriving on the beach. If you need assistance finding the Immigration Office, ask any of the staff on The Reef and we will help you to find it.

The Police station is located near the Immigration Office.
